We have made it through to the finals in the Music Video competition on Ourstage.com which means that A: you all helped us come in first place in the Rock Videos category and B: that now we’re in the finals, up against the other videos that won their categories.
So if you could find it in your hearts to find the time to judge in this one last round, login and go right here: http://www.ourstage.com/judge?channel=39-video-finals and go through all 15 rounds of competition. When our video comes up, please vote it “By Far” the best (but only if you think so…). You only have to watch each other video for 15 seconds, and you only have to watch them once each…
The competition ends at Midnight EST tomorrow (Saturday 31st) night! Please vote for us if you have the chance!
Joelle says: As our penultimate music video offering to you this month, we present “How do you know?” We started bright and early this morning and spent the last 16 hours creating it because, as Arthur kept telling everyone, “we wanted this one to be really good.”
I can say with some degree of certainty that it really is. Is that conceited?
We hope you enjoy watching it as much as we enjoyed making it!
Sunday night we’re having our wrap party for BLAMMOS DOES NOVEMBER (AGAIN!) and we hope everybody can make it down! We’ll be playing a set of music and shooting our very special final video for the month! So you don’t want to miss it!

Saturday November 15th we are shooting a video for Living with David Foster Wallace and we need your help! Bring your bicycle and be ready to ride at 11 AM, on 19th Street between York and Hampshire Streets. MAP
For many people, the month of November brings to mind wasteful gluttony, spirit-crushing elections, and shorter gloomier days. But for Arthur Adams and Joelle Jaffe of BLAMMOS, November means videos, videos and more videos! Are they filmmakers who front a band or two musicians who also happen to be filmmakers?Joelle and Arthur don’t think the two are mutually exclusive, and have at this point made more music videos than they have released songs. And that number is about to go up up up.
Starting on November 1st, 2008, they will, for the second time, create, shoot, edit and post a new music or music-related video every day for the whole month.Inspired in part by their one-time participation in CinemaSports and their need to keep their creativity flowing, the videos will range from simple live performances, to carefully conceived and edited music videos, to bizarre sound and visual collages, to who knows what else. The videos will feature contributions from fellow bandmates, friends, other filmmakers, and complete strangers.Check out last year’s videos on their youtube page: http://youtube.com/blammos.
So whether you need a major pick-me-up or are in the mood to celebrate after the election (we hope it’s the latter), come to www.blammos.com for a wholly entertaining month!
