This November, instead of making a music video every day, we decided to give ourselves a different kind of challenge. Check out this video to find out what we’ve been up to. We are SO EXCITED to be able to share it with you and can’t wait to present you with the finished film!
Yes. That’s right. We are. But things are gonna be different this year. It’s a whole new thing. Why? Coz making a music video every day…that’s played out fool. It’s bush league! Plus, we were running out of songs to make into videos…
In 2009, we are going to make a documentary. About us. Yeah yeah, self-indulgent my ass…it’s gonna be great! And we need your help friends, fans and detractors…
Here’s what we need:
-Any BLAMMOS-related artwork
-Video and/or audio of the band
-Interviewees, whether in person, or via the web (or you could even shoot your own)
-Testimonials: share your favorite or least favorite BLAMMOS memory.
-People to perform and record covers of their favorite BLAMMOS songs to use as our soundtrack. If you can’t record yourself, we can assist you.
We will be contacting a lot of people individually, but please contact us @ blammostheband@yahoo.com if you want in on the project. We’re open to any ideas you all may have as well…
Hopefully production will be finished by November 30th and we’ll put up a trailer and some other clips. There will be semi-regular blogging re: how the project is going and maybe even a daily video or two…you never know!
Our last video of the month happened to coincide with our show at Edinburgh Castle, so we invited a few of our friends to join us to send off November with a bang!
Thanks to Tori Branch, Shane Dizon, Noah Mamber, and Jeff Zamaria for joining us, and for everyone who came out to see the show.
Joelle says: As our penultimate music video offering to you this month, we present “How do you know?” We started bright and early this morning and spent the last 16 hours creating it because, as Arthur kept telling everyone, “we wanted this one to be really good.”
I can say with some degree of certainty that it really is. Is that conceited?
We hope you enjoy watching it as much as we enjoyed making it!
Sunday night we’re having our wrap party for BLAMMOS DOES NOVEMBER (AGAIN!) and we hope everybody can make it down! We’ll be playing a set of music and shooting our very special final video for the month! So you don’t want to miss it!

A new friend and fan of the band, Mark Lukach has made today’s video for our song Bashful. It’s very very very good…we are unbelievably impressed! And he made it on Thanksgiving even! We were too lazy to do anything today…so thank you so much to Mark for saving our asses! Starring his lovely wife Giullia, and featuring some super duper clever camera work and “natural set pieces.”
Arthur says:
For the better part of the month Joelle has been working on her super secret video project. Well…it was actually only a secret to me, coz I made her keep it that way…and I’m so glad she did! It is AMAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAZING!!! It’s so good. It makes me cry. Enjoy!
A NOTE FROM THE DIRECTOR: This music video is one of the few exceptions to our one-a-day video project this November. It was produced over the course of several weeks, with help from many friends who appear in it. Sincere gratitude goes out to all!
Independent of the daily BLAMMOS DOES NOVEMBER hustle and bustle, Joelle has been working on two of her own masterpieces. I told her that I didn’t want to know what they were going to be. I wanted to be surprised. And this first one - her AMAZING cover of They Turned a Screw - frankly has me absolutely floored! Her second video that she has actually been shooting for a better part of the month off and on, will also be somethin’ else. Watch for that one tomorrow night…
But for now, enjoy this…
